Summer fun!

When it's 111 degrees outside and you have a Mom that is about to POP, you either stay inside or play in the water! We tried out a new spot on the Virgin River that has a man made waterfall with TJs cousins family and we definitely will be back the kids loved it! Sophie is also a natural skim boarder!





Sophie was playing dress up in TJs drawers, she put his beenie and shorts on and then looked at me and said "Yo you what's up Mommy!" She is such a funny lil thing!

Brielle is 5

I can't believe my little girl is 5! It seems like yesterday we were in the hospital while tons of wildfires surrounded our city. We always tell Brielle she was born in a burning ring of fire, and her personality fits it too! You can't help but love this sassy little thing! She is so smart, too smart for her own good! She definitely is the child that pushes my buttons the most and daily, but she is also the funniest little thing! Not a day goes by that she doesn't make me scream and then laugh so hard I cry! Even though she is stubborn and sassy I admire her attitude, she doesn't do anything she doesn't want to and doesn't let anyone tell her what to do. I keep telling myself the traits that drive me crazy are positive ones when she is older! Maybe because she reminds me of me a little too :) She has a big heart for those she loves and is such a mother hen to all her little cousins, you can count on her to help out. She loves being the center of attention and as long as she is queen everything runs smoothly lol. We sure love you Brielle and we are so glad you are apart of our family!
We opened presents before heading to her family party, she was so funny laying out all her new school clothes she got, and then the last present she opened was a helmet she picked out. She looked at it and we asked her what would go with it and she grined and went looking for her bike. We watched her ride it for a minute and then TJ got on and did a wheelie and popped the tire and bent the rim! She yelled out "MY BIKE!!!" He took it back and got a new one so all is good! It was the funniest thing though!




We had a family swimming BBQ and she loved every minute of it! We are so lucky to have such a caring family, it is always crazy and loud but so much fun! There are so many of us it always seems to be someones birthday or something but no matter what everyone is always there! Thank you so much to all of you for making Brielle feel so loved! Brielle's Auntie Katherine made her darling cake! I laughed when Brielle told her she wanted a mermaid cake and was wondering how she would pull that off but she did and it was amazing, thanks Kat! We love you!

Birthday outing

Brielle was so excited the night before her birthday she wanted her toes painted and of course that means Sophie wants them done too! When she woke up this morning she came in my room, I was half asleep and she climbed in my bed and got right up to my face and said "Mom! Do you have something to tell me?" with a big grin on her face. I smiled and told her she looked so much bigger it must be her birthday! We made her favorite Chocolate chip pancakes and then she eagerly awaited her birthday outing with Grandma Kathy, they went to The Pizza Factory and BB got her #5 pizza and then to Walmart where she got all her birthday loot! She had so much fun and Grandma must have wore her out because she fell fast asleep! She is all ready to party tonight!

Fancy Nancy Girls

Earlier this week I told Brielle her Grandma's were going to take her out to lunch and get her birthday present, my Mom on Saturday and TJs on Monday. She told me she was going to have to show Grandma Kathy where the shoe stores was! I laughed and said she could get toys or something else besides shoes. But Brielle loves shoes, and they have to be blingy or really cute in her opinion for her to wear them. She will wear her crocs or flip flops around the house and to play so she doesn't ruin her pretty shoes though. While discussing shoes and toys and all her Birthday fun, Hunter told her to go to Walmart with Grandma Kathy because they have roll back prices and she could get more stuff!! She then looked at me and asked if Walmart had cute shoes! It should be interesting to see what she comes home with!

Saturday she went with Grandma Leslie for her birthday outing. They went to a fancy Chinese restaurant (I don't know where Brielle got the idea for Chinese, but that was her pick) and shoe shopping! She was in heaven. These two are the fancy Nancy girls, it makes me smile to see these two shopping with all their bling!

Go Utes!!!

In celebration of Utah becoming the 12th team to join the Pac-10. Go Utes Go!!!

Tarzan

Once again we got free tickets to Tuachan's Tarzan, it was AMAZING!! Definitely our favorite show we have seen, which is saying a lot since we have seen so many lol! The costumes, music, setting, and of course company was spectacular! They had apes and Tarzan and Jane flying above the audience during most the show, and amazing acrobatics. The whole time I was thinking how much the kids would have loved it, great family show! On our way home we saw this huge fire and realized it was a huge 3 story house totally engulfed in flames! It was so sad, I still don't know what happened but hopefully no one was hurt! It was a great date night and the best part our dinner and show was free! Love that :)

Hunter's 2 week post op

We went to Hunter's 2 week post operation appointment and everything is looking great! He can now go swimming and resume normal activity, in another month can play strenuous sports. His Belly button will still look different as the incision site will soften and look normal but Hunter is happy with it. I am still getting use to it, every time I look at him I think to myself that's not Hunter's belly button but at least he is happy and I can tell has more confidence already. So if you were wondering what a $6,000.00 belly button looks like here it is...

Father's Day 2010

The kids gave TJ the best present and slept until 9am!! Then came in with their handmade cards to wake him :) We had a family snuggle in our bed and then opened presents!


Since I am not a very good cook when it comes to breakfast foods we went and stuffed ourselves silly at Golden Coral. It was great for me, no clean up and everyone got what they wanted! Plus we never go out for Breakfast so it was a real treat!

Then we went and Toy Story 3 which made me bawl through the whole movie Andy is going off to College and it shows flash backs of him playing with the toys when he was younger, seriously made me think of my kids and how they have outgrown certain toys but I hold onto them because they use to mean so much to them, but really it's more me wanting to keep them. Does anyone else stop at All-a-dollar before going to the movie :) Thank heavens big purses are in style!

We went to TJs parents for a meal fit for a king, and gave all the Dad's rootbeer that said they were great "Pop's"! We ended the night visiting Grandpa Cannon before heading home to play in the backyard together!





I didn't get to see my Dad this weekend so we will have to celebrate next time they come down! Thank you Dad for always being there for me, you have always made us girls your world and I want you to know I love you so much!

I am so thankful for TJ and the Dad that he is to our children. I know so many men that think just because their wives don't work the kids are their responsibility and don't help out when they get home from work. TJ never makes me feel like I am alone in raising our kids, he works a ton of hours and it's hard sometimes but when he is home he is always my partner in taking care of them. He works so hard so I can stay home and be there for everything. He is always coaching their teams and most the time it's a few different teams at once. He goes from work to practice to another practice! Thank you for being such a great Dad TJ, our kids are so lucky to have you and so am I!

Tadpoles

It has become a tradition to go to Slick Rock Park and get tadpoles! The kids could spend all day there catching them and playing in the mossy water. Kinda disgusting but how can I say no to those cute dirty faces squealing in delight! It is fun to see all the different stages all in one place, there are little ones, big ones, ones with tales, legs, and itty bitty froggies! We have a dozen all at different stages so it will be fun to watch them grow once again!

33 weeks 4 days

Ashlee, my bestie wanted to see how fat I was getting and mentioned I don't have any pictures of me and my gloriously huge belly! It's official I am miserably hot, huge, and sick of being pregnant!!! I have 6 more weeks, it seems so close but oh so far away! I am going every 2 weeks to the Dr. now and everything is going perfectly. I am probably the only person who is enjoying the cooler weather we've been having, it was 105 for a few days last week and I thought I was going to die! It drains you to be out in that weather for 5 minutes! 90s are bearable but over 100 and I melt! My poor body has had it, I don't know how ladies do this 6-12 times, I think they are drugged or something lol :P
