Bentley family pictures 2011

TJs sister Tana and her family moved to Texas so before they left we took a family picture since it had been like 4 years since the last one. Always such an ordeal with this family, someone is always late, kids are crying, too many different camera to look at, bribing kids to smile, it's just pure chaos but the pictures are always hilarious. While we were waiting I snapped a few of the kids, we went to take our family picture and Tjs Mom tried to move the girls around and they fell, it was all down hill from there with Sophie. She scream for all the pictures and I had to hold her and hide behind the chair for the cousins picture.
Here are a few I retouched for now....

Movie night with friends

The night before Brielle had her friend over to play all afternoon. When her Mom came and got her Brielle asked if she could play tomorrow, her Mom gave me her husbands cell phone since she would be gone all day, I wrote it down and put it by the phone.
Well, the next day we cleaned all morning, went and got Brielle's ears pierced, had lunch and then everyone took a nap (I don't think this has happened in a very long time). The whole day Brielle was bugging me to play but I told her we had stuff to do and ended up telling her I called her friend and she was busy with her Dad just so she would quite asking me over and over.
Later that afternoon Brielle comes in my room and said "Mom, Lainee can play, I called her!" Seriously?!?!? She got the number I wrote down and called her. Guess I can't use the "she's busy" line anymore, she is too smart.
Since TJ was getting off work I decided we should take the kids and their friends to 'Diary of a wimpy kid 2' since they have been dying to see it, I didn't realize it was already 7pm but since the kids had a nap I figured they would be fine. TJ and I took 6 kids under the age of 8 to the movies at 9 o'clock at night lol surprisingly it wasn't busy and the kids were great! We all laughed so hard and loved the movie.

Ears Pierced

The rule at the Bentley house is you have to be 5 to get your ears pierced. Last year Brielle was all excited to go on her 5th birthday and then when the day came she backed out and said she didn't want them done. I was shocked since she is all about the glam, dressing up and wearing jewelry so I told her whenever she wanted to we would go.
Numerous times she would ask what they do and even asked other's if it hurt. Then out of the blue last week told me she wanted to get them done. Everyday after school she'd ask if we could go and finally I told her Saturday we would go and then get some lunch after. She was counting down the days.
Saturday came and she woke up ready to go, I told her we had to do our chores done before we had some fun. I have never seen her do her work as fast as she did. We went to walmart and she looked at all the earrings, carefully thinking that she had to have them in for awhile before changing them. At first she picked these multi-colored little flowers but then decided to get the big white diamonds :)
She was nervous when she sat down on the chair, I grabbed her hands and started telling her exactly what was going to happen. When they put the guns up to her ears she told me it will only hurt for 2 seconds and thats it right? I started to tell her what would happen again and bam, it was over. She was shocked when I told her she was done and to look in the mirror. I am glad the girls did them at the same time and without her knowing, she was nervous but really wanted to do it, she would have been so disappointed if she got too scared to get them done.


So we have a little girl with pierced ears, that is big, she is getting to big!

Brielle's first Tball practice

Brielle had her very first Tball practice today! She was so excited to go out and practice with her pink mitt and bat! She looked so cute out there, it amazes me that a few short years ago that was Hunter and now he is doing kid/machine pitch, man time flies.



Life is officially totally crazy for us we have dance, piano, Scouts, Tball, Baseball, and soccer going on. And TJ is coaching all the sports teams on top of being commissioner. But honestly I love it I don't know what we would do if we didn't have a million things to do. This week my room has been taken over with baseball uniforms 300+ to go through and get to coaches who have been bugging us for weeks about them lol.

The craziness is worth it, We get to spend some fun quality family time with these cute faces!

St. Patricks Day

We started the day off by finding our treasures left by Lucky! Then made rainbow waffles and discovered Lucky turned our milk green again!



We ate a green lunch and then delivered our treats to our family and friends


We had to cancel baseball practices because it was way too windy so we came home and ate our yummy cornbeef dinner with pototoes and carrotts (I will put the recipe on my recipe blog it was yummy!) I forgot to take pictures of lunch and dinner oppsie!

Spring Break- Vegas Style

This is the first time we have been able to go somewhere during Spring Break, usually it's too busy for TJ to be able to take work off. Luckily he was able to take 2 days off so we went to Las Vegas! We stayed at The Golden Nugget, their pool is one of the Top 5 pools in American, it was awesome! My kids are all obsessed with Sharks and The movie Jaws so they LOVED it!! Vegas is always an entertaining and educational visit for the Bentley bunch ;)
