Red Sox

Hunter played his first game of Machine pitch and did great!! He was up to bat once and got a hit to 2nd base and then to home!! He was so excited!! Another cute moment was when the other team hit all the way to the outfield, he ran and got the ball, and then ran with it all the way up towards infield, threw it home and got a kid out. TJ was yelling to throw it the whole time but he knew how far he could throw :) We are so proud of him! TJ also did great coaching!

Ducky Drop

We took the kids to the Washington Rec Center to attend the Ducky Drop. They had so much fun swimming with their friends and TJ and I enjoyed sitting back and just watching them play! Sophie loved laying back on her life jacket and splashing. Brielle and Hunter liked going down the big slide. Sophie's age group got to keep their froggy, she loves it and makes it hop on everything saying "Ribbit, robbit." For the other age groups they drop duckies from the huge pail and on the bottom of the duckie is a number, you get a specific prize for the number. Hunter and Brielle both got a beach ball, candy, and free kids meals to, Red Robin, Chili's, Del Taco, and Applebee's!

Daddy and Me day/ Show and share

Brielle had Daddy and me day at school and this is what she made for TJ.

My Dad's name is TJ
He is 40 years old (lol)
He likes to eat sausage, corn, noodles
His favorite sport is soccer
My Dad love to play wii
I love to play catch with my Dad
My Dad is the best Dad in the world because he makes dinner and I love him!

Brielle also had show and share at school and decided to bring Bella, she was a hit!

Brielle got in!!!

There is a Charter School down the street from us that is a great school, they draw names from their applicants like the lottery. I called a few weeks ago and Brielle was on the waiting list #15 and she said if they passed the expansion she would be accepted! Today I called and they told us "Welcome to George Washington Academy!!!" I nearly cried I was so happy!! The main reason I am so glad she got in is because it's ALL DAY Kindergarten, which she really really needs and to be honest I really need. :) She is so smart and gets so bored at home, she is the type that needs to be doing something all day. The have a great curriculum that even includes computers, music, and art class. This way she will get a great head start and then we will have her go to the same Elementary as Hunter for first grade. We really feel good about this decision. Another good thing they do uniforms so I don't have to buy her tons of new clothes :) We are so excited!!

Ladybug Ladybug fly away home..

The garden is planted! Herbs, peas, 4 kinds of tomatoes 2 each, cucumbers, hot peppers, green peppers, squash, zucchini, onions, spinach, and our peach tree! This year I finally didn't plant too much, I swear it looks like nothing out there but oh it will grow. Last year I had 12 tomato plants and by the end of the summer couldn't even get to them all. After planting we let the kids let the ladybugs go in the garden to eat those pesky bugs.

Spring training

Since TJ is the commissioner we have access to the machine pitch so we grabbed some friends and practiced hitting. We were there for two hours, yep spring training in progress :)

Funny Kids

My kids crack me up!
TJ coaches Hunters soccer and baseball team and decided to have back to back practices on one day. I was worried Hunter would be too exhausted to play a full 2 hours since he is an all or nothing type of kid so I packed him a PBJ and granola bars and told him if it was too much to just rest for awhile. I wanted to be there during the practices but I had to take Brielle to dance. He came home and said "Mom, it was so wicked fun! I built up my stamina today!" It was so funny hearing that come out of his mouth!
Then Sophie and I are running errands while Hunter and Brielle were at school, I am at a stop sign and and old lady isn't going. I muttered "Come on lady!" and a cute little voice from the back says "Ready, set, GO!" Hilarious!
Brielle comes up to me and asks, "Mom, what's for dinner?" "Goulash." I said. "Is that beef or chicken based?" Seriously where does this kid come from? Go Beef! lol Brielle and Sophie for the last month have been worse than teenage boys when it comes to food. They constantly are hungry even after they have ate! And a snack won't do it has to be a full on meal! They usually go through big eating spurts and then grow and nibble for a little but this has been going on for awhile with no end in sight. I feel like a short order cook most days!

Presents

You see this handsome face....

It drives me crazy sometimes! TJ ALWAYS ruins his presents I am going to get him by going out and buying them himself! Drives me bonkers! He calls me today and said, since we have some extra cash can I go buy my gun today? Ummm yea but that is what I was going to get you for your birthday jerk! lol! His hand gun got stolen awhile ago and because he deals with money late at night it makes me feel better that he has it with him. Only things is... I was going to get him one for his birthday next month! I said yea you can buy it but happy birthday a month early. I know I am a mean wife but I do not have the energy to think of something else and its a big chunk of change so thats it he got his present early. He laughed and said "Sorry, I always seem to ruin my presents huh!" Ya think? lol

Spring Break cont

Why am I laughing to hard you ask? Because we are all sitting waiting for the show to start and Sophie falls between the seat, I jump up trying to pull her out and I can't! I finally get her free and sit down and my Dad is shaking his head. Apparently I flashed everyone my butt, I was so worried about my daughter I didn't pull my low riding pants up or my shirt down. Good thing we weren't at a basketball game that would have ended up on the jumbotron!

Hunter was seriously hilarious at the Treehouse he wanted to dress up and have my Mom take his picture everywhere!

Lucky the Leprechaun

Brielle woke me up and said "There are treats by the front door! Lucky must have left them!" She runs down to wake up Hunter and they look to see what he left for them this time. Lucky always seems to come on St. Patrick's Day and messes things up! Whether it's taking things and putting them in weird places or rearranging the furniture. On a good note he does leave treats behind! This year he messed up their rooms a little bit and took their shoes and filled them with green goodies! He left a four-leaf clover confetti and golden coin trail from their rooms to the goodies! He also left us a box of Lucky Charms for breakfast! Hunter also had crazy hair day at school so instead of spiking up the top we left it flat and spiked the sides! Boys with short hair just don't have very many options since they can't color their hair at school.
