Halloween 09

Sophie totally understood trick-r-treating this year, she would jump out of the stroller, sometimes grabbed her bag, walked up and knock on the door, and sometimes tried to open the door! A few times she said "Trit-Tret" but she always said "Thank You" she had to keep the candy in her hands instead of put it in her bag and when she got to the next house would double fist the candy. She screamed at me every time I put it in her bag. Hunter and Brielle were pro's this year, but as usual the kids liked scaring people with Grandpa instead of trick-r-treating and Sophie loved it too! She followed him around as he scared the kids and would laugh. Hunter was the look out for small kids and Brielle passed out the goodies. We didn't have tons of kids this year so after awhile my parents took the kids back out to gather goodies. We ended Halloween watching a scary movie and cuddling on the couch and answered the door to a few late trick-r-treaters. I am always left with mixed emotions about the end of October, really sad its over but exhausted!

Party!!!

Every year it gets bigger and better and this year didn't let us down! We had over 150 people here last night, it was a little chaotic in the kitchen but its well worth it! Everyone dressed up in some great costumes and the food was yummy, we had some really interesting dishes this year :) Every year I tell myself to take more pictures but its so hard to welcome guests and make sure there are enough of everything to take pictures so if you have any email them to me please! If you can't tell I am Belle, Brielle is Cinderella, Sophie is Snow White, TJ is Wolverine, and Hunter is Frankenstein! We should have taken a picture before the party ended, Sophie was so done!



My BFAF Brandy and her whole family came and totally surprised me! Her brother Nick plays football for SUU and they were down this weekend to watch his game and dropped by! I was so happy to see them, love you guys!

Good friends are the best :)

Hunters Halloween events

Hunters school has a parade every year and it is so much fun to see all the kids in the schools costumes! TJs older sisters kids go to the same school so TJs family and my family are all there watching the kids go by.


Hunters class party went really well and the kids had a blast! We made handprint candy bats and I spy Halloween bottles. Then we played pin the heart on the skeleton, Halloween cake walk, and decorated cookies with Vampires blood with frozen monster hands to drink!

After school we finished our tombstones for the party! They turned out really spooky!

Brielle's fun Halloween Events

Brielle got to dress up and show us what she has been learning at dance, she was so excited to show us her dance moves. She is doing really well and unlike most in her class actually knew the dance routine! They danced to Ghostbusters and then showed us some tumbling and tap dancing! We are so proud of our little ballerina! Her teach Mrs. Kristen is the sweetest lady and is so good with them. Her friend Ava (fall fairy) is also in the class and these two are two peas in a pod and just love each other!






Then we head to our wards Halloween Carnival, we missed the chili cook-off which TJ was sad about but we did get to play all the fun games!



Brielle also had her Halloween party at school and had a blast. We dipped pretzels in white chocolate to look like mummies, played Don't eat Frankenstein, and sang some fun songs! Then we had the trunk r treat and we had the best trunk! I love the energy these kids have even sings halloween songs is a blast to them!

THRILLER

This is one of my favorite traditions, going to Tuachan and watching Thriller! TJ won two tickets on the radio so we decided to get the kids tickets too. It was freaking cold for us southerners 50* but we bundled up in sweaters, coats, hats, gloves, blankets, and had plenty of hot coco and treats! Brielle was a little weary of the zombies lurking around but they both loved the show and were glued to their seats the entire time. During the Jason act one of the Jasons is not following the others and finally Brielle yells loudly "Your not listening very well!" the whole place was laughing. She also got crabby with the Jon and kate plus 8 family in front of us with a bazillion kids, they kept getting up and moving and she yelled "Sit down, I can't see!" Totally what I was thinking. Hunter loved all the "Wicked Cool" music and dancing. During the Riverdance act I told Hunter I liked it and half way through he said "Mom this is lame dancing, I wanna see some moves!" Then they started getting shot at and he said "No that is cool Mom!" I just laughed. At the end the kids said it was the funnest night ever!
