30 Years

My Dad is officially retired!!! 30 Years of teaching, it's crazy to me my whole life he has been a teacher!

My Dad went through so many tough experiences throughout his career, you would think being a teacher all you would have to deal with is kids but there was so much more to it, but he didn't give up, he stuck with it and in the process gave me the lesson to work hard even though it's rough and eventually your hard work will pay off.

I am so proud of him and thankful for all his knowledge, he is one of the smartest people I know. He isn't perfect, and I think I have many of his stubborn qualities but one thing I know with all my heart is he loves me, my Sister, and my Momma more than anything in this world and never thinks of himself.

I am going to miss hearing about his school adventures and will always have memories of going to his classrooms.

Thank you Daddy for working so hard these last 30 years, but your teaching days are not over yet, you still have me and my family that have lots to learn from you :)

When I was little we only had 1 car so we would drop and pick up my Dad at Central Davis Jr High, so many memories of the chalkboards, projector carts, and his students .

Cousin Fun

We added 2 babies the last couple of Months Anton Kenneth Bentley and Lia Mae Shaw so excited there are now 13 grandkids :) I take the older brother n Sisters on a date shortly after their sibling is born, so they know they are loved and the parents can get a break to just snuggle the new baby :)

Jonathan came over and played and then we took McDonalds to the waterpark, he cracks me up!

We took Halle and Kade to McDonalds and then had a fun sleepover.

Love all our cousins, I hope they had fun and felt loved!!

Last Day of School

I cannot believe I will have a 4th, 2nd, preschooler, and 2 year old next year!!!! Where does the time go!! I swear at the moment you are so stressed and chaotic you don't realize how fast life passes by.
I had a cute banner out front but the wind blew it away by the time we got home :( Oh well! I got a bunch of fun things for us to do during the summer and my love Target, had tons of crafty things for like $2, love it!!!

So proud of my lil ones, they both got straight As and learned so much. I though Hunter would struggle a little since it was his first year but he made tons of friends quickly and studied hard to catch up. Brielle is a little smarty pants and really grew up a lot this year, her class made sashes and titles for everyone and she got "wisest" fitting for her :).

This school is hard and time consuming, it's not for everyone but I know this is where our family is meant to be, and I love it! I was nominated to be PTO Secretary next year, crap!!! Whoever nominated me is in trouble lol. Oh well, add to the craziness, I love serving my community and being at the school.

Dancing Queens

So proud of my two beautiful lil girls! They both were awesome and looked gorgeous, at times like this all the craziness getting to this moment is worth it :)
Hunter had a baseball game and since TJ is the coach he took the boys there, I refused to take Callaway, I already had to get 3 girls ready and be there 2 hours before the performance for a ballet rehearsal, there was no way I was chasing him around for 3 hours lol.

Brielle had 3 dances

Then a Tap and Jazz number, she cracks me up! I literally had tears I was laughing so hard. She is pretty good and knows how to get sassy and shake it, and she shakes it hard!

Sophie, you never know with this girl! I honestly didn't think she would do it but she proved me wrong. During practices most the time she is off in left field but she was really good during her performance and knew most the moves. She is getting so big, I don't know why but my last 2 I still think of as babies and they are getting too big :(

Halle their cousin is in Sophie's class too, this is her 2nd year and she can shake it, love it! I need to get the pics off my Mother in laws camera since all my pictures the kids are looking at her's

Solar Eclipse

We were all pretty excited for the solar eclipse, since St George had one of the best seats for it! TJ got some special glasses for all of us and we played in the backyard watching it, it was pretty awesome!!!

Sophie of course didn't have her clothes on but with her hat like her Daddy's I had to take a pic, if she had dark hair and a gotee they would be twiners! You can also see the shadow of the eclipse through the tree's all over them, cool!!

Red Sox

What a fun Season it was with these cute lil kids, love Tball it's hilarious! It was so fun to have cousins on the team too :)

We are so proud of BB she can really hit the ball far!!!

Fathers and sons

TJ took Hunter to his dads wards Father and sons, they had so much fun doing all the things boys do

Sophie's 1st year of Preschool graduation

Sophie Sophie Sophie..... you never know with this girl, she makes life so much fun and so incredibly hard all within seconds of each other. But honestly, I wouldn't
have it any other way! Most the time she makes me wanna pull my hair out but she is so funny and full of life that makes up for all her crazy moments lol.

Her part in their graduation program was saying "This is Mars" while holding up a picture of Mars, we practiced for a week and the night before after story time I asked her what are you going to say when your teacher gives you the microphone?
"This is Jupiter!"
Nooooo Sophie you say This is Mars, you know this.
"Mars is lame! Jupiter is where its at!"

She is not a morning person, hates crawling out of bed that makes her 8:30am class painful for both of us! I woke her up and she didn't want to wear a dress, or have her hair curled. She wanted to wear shorts and a ponytail and she didn't like her new shoes because they hurt her feet, I made her a deal we would do whatever she wanted if she wore the dress and shoes, and let me curl her hair. She agreed if we went to McDonalds after but she negotiated with no bow!

She was a little hesitate coming out in front of all the parents but her wonderful teachers made her feel at ease and helped her to her spot. She sang and did all the right sign language

When it came time for her part..... She nailed it. And then gave me her lil smirk :) I was so waiting for her to add and "it's lame"

We are so proud of her, she has learned so much this year and is such a hard worker. Her teachers said "She has improved on her letter sounds and writing and is always happy with a smile on her face, she has a optimistic outlook on life."

Dance Pictures

I died laughing when I saw these pictures

I love OnStage but the lady who runs it runs one in Cedar too and she isn't very organized. I got an email in the morning that pictures were that day at 4pm, I stressed out because we had a jam packed day and now I had 30 minutes to get the girls ready and across town. Sophie fell asleep on the way and it went downhill from there. When her team was up to take pictures she didn't want anything to do with it! I bribed her with everything and anything but my stubborn Sophie didn't care. I took her to the car and then told her she didn't have a choice she was going to do it even if she was crying in them, the photographer photoshopped her in the group photo luckily lol. Oh my Sophie you always have to test my patience and sadly I don't have very much lol

When I showed the girls their pictures Sophie said "Why is Sophie not smiling? She is not happy!" Ya think? Ohhhhhh geez :P


Now Brielle, she loves getting dolled up and taking pictures :)

GNO, Date Night, Hershey's District Track Meet, and Mother's Day lunch!

Ashlee was in town for business again so we took advantage and had 2 nights of fun. The first night we went to Menchies and talked all night long and then the next night we went and got Pedi's, ate at Red Robin, and then watch Vampire Diaries at Heather's!! We had such a great time and I love how we always seem to pick up were we left off, I am so lucky to have these 2 ladies in my life, I truly love them soo soo much!

Friday night TJ and I went with his cousin Alissa and her hubby Ben to Olive Garden and then saw The 5 year engagement. We had a blast and loved the movie it was hilarious!! I have never met Ben and would tease Alissa all the time that he was her pretend boyfriend, then fiancé, and then husband and I finally met him :) Funny moment While I was getting ready all the kids were helping me pick out shoes and earrings and Hunter said "Mom, you don't look cute..... You look gorgeous!" While we were waiting to go I was in the living room with the kids and a bird flew in our house!!! I freaked running around screaming and the kids were laughing hysterically at me, luckily the bird flew back out the back door.

Saturday Morning Hunter had his Hershey's District track Meet for the Softball throw, there were 47 9-10 yr old boys and he place 5th, we are so proud of him

Then our annual Mother's Day lunch at Golden Corral with TJs side of the family, love all these ladies :) Thanks Mom for lunch as always its so much fun!
