Selling you to the Zoo..

Do you ever have those nights when you seriously want to sell your whole family to the Zoo? Last night was one of them for me! I went and got my hair done and came home around 6:30pm. Started dinner, noticed Brielle is asleep, not good. Asked TJ why he would let her go to sleep this early? Sat down to eat, woke up Brielle, and the screaming begun! Everyone was on one last night! There were tears, crying, yelling, a real Zoo at our house! I really felt like locking myself in my room and crawling into bed! We managed to finish dinner with the sounds of Brielle crying in her room, kids got ready for bed, stories read, I fell asleep at 9pm! Tomorrow is a new day right?!

Valentines Day Golfing

Here is the picture of the boys golfing at Wolf Creek on Valentines Day! Glad you had fun boys!

Parent Teacher Conference

I had Parent Teacher Conference for Hunter and Brielle today and I still feel like I did when my parents went to talk with my teachers! I was always a great student but I would still get nervous! Now instead of waiting for my parents to walk through the door with the news I get to go and get the information! I get butterfly's in my stomach wondering if my kids are doing well, are the nice, well behaved, or total terrors? Are they totally flunking making me the worse Mom in the world? I mean, I have no clue what I am doing, I do their homework with them, we read tons around here, they are well rounded in extra curricular activities, but am I doing enough? I am in their classrooms at least once a week so I am sure they are doing fine but you never know, lol! Well... good news, I am not a total slacker Mom :) they both are doing really well and above average!! Woot Woot!
Hunter is doing great and above average in everything, his strong points are Math, Science, and Arts, we need to work on reading but he is still in the upper level of his class.
Brielle, what a smarty pants this little one is! I just love Montessori, it is worth every penny! She is reading level 1 books (she is 4 1/2 by the way!) She just finished her 100s board and is starting addition! She is also doing really well in gymnastics, and frequently helps her classmates. The only thing we need to work on is her writing confidence.
I am so proud of these two, they are great classmates, smart, and respectful! Now to just continue on this path! whew!

Be Mine

Hunter had sports Valentines this year and also passed out toothbrushes with cute sayings. When he was done I noticed all the girls got one heart sticker, his teacher got two, and a girl he likes card was covered :) We were teasing him and asked if she knows he likes her and he said "She will when she looks at her card!" Oh to be young again! His class party was fun we had a memory game and bingo, cookies and fruit punch, and made cupids arrows with candy!

Brielle had tinkerbell Valentines and had so much fun at her party. They combined all the classes so she had to write her name 40 times and didn't even complain!

Valentines Day 2010

We had a crazy Valentines Day at the Bentley house this year! We started off having an earlier scone breakfast at 8am so all the boys could go down to Mesquite to golf at Wolf Creek. We tried to go the park but all the babies schedules were off so when the boys got home we went to five guys and ate before saying goodbye to The Johnstun Family

Sophie sneaking cookies! TJ also always brings home a heart shaped cookie from PF and beautiful red roses! Love you Monkey! :)

Grandma and Grandpa's Valentines! New shoes and some shirts! And my Dad gave me a carnation, growing up he always got them at school and would bring one home for each of us girls! :)

A tradition at our house is Cupids Treasure Hunt and Cupid even left goodies for our guests :)

Making heart shaped cinnamon rolls for our family and friends!
It was great hanging out with everyone and even though it was a mad house :) it was entertaining lol~

Snow Canyon Picnic

Over the weekend we had some visitors from up north and loved it! The weather was perfect so we enjoyed a yummy PF lunch at Snow Canyon. We did a little hiking and went to the Sand Dunes and wore the kiddies out!

TJ always makes us a heart shaped pizza for Valentines Day! :)

Harlem Globetrotters

TJ won tickets for the Harlem Globetrotters! It was so much fun, the kids were cracking up the whole time! Brielle didn't feel good but that didn't stop her shakin her groove thing to all the music. This also was our first excursion without the binkie and Sophie did great! Yippee!!!! On our way home Hunter said I can't wait for Friday news at school, I am going to tell them we went to dinner and went and saw the, what was the name again? Oh, I am going to practice that! It was so cute! Love memories like this, simple fun, nothing grand, but it was "AWESOME"! :)

Binkies Anonymous

My name is Sophie and I am addicted to binkies..... it has been 8 days since my last encounter.

Yep, we finally got rid of the sucker! It has been over a week now poor Sophie, she loved them so, she would hide them throughout the house and most the time had one in her hand and one in her mouth! I hated it and loved it at the same time, anytime she was being a pill you plug her and she was fine! But it was long overdue to get rid of it! I tried for months only letting her have it at bedtime but she would grab it and hide them and of course you buy more, I even cut the tip off and she flipped! So cold turkey was it, it was awful, completely awful the first two days. She cried for 20 minutes at bed and naptime and during the day freaked out a few times but day 3 she was fine! Every once in awhile she asks for it and I tell her they are all gone and distract her. Sometimes she cries for a few minutes going to bed but I think we are in the clear! Seriously almost as bad as potty training.... which is coming up in a few months, argggg the life of a toddler!

Chores

As posted recently I am a mean Mom and make my kids do chores without getting paid, they live here, they clean here, thats my rule! Don't feel too bad for them, they have everything they could ever want! Here is some proof we start em off early!:)
Sophie loves sorting laundry, the only problem is the dirty clothes don't go in the dryer first!

lazy winter nights...

It seems after the hustle an bustle of the holidays, January and February is spent reading by the fire, watching movies, and playing games. Our family favorite is Uno-attack! I am so looking forward to warmer weather that is for sure! I know you Northerners think I'm nuts for saying that but I have lived here over 9 years and I am climatized, 50s are cold to me! The other night we were watching American Idol and Sophie kept shedding her clothes and putting dress ups on and off and then came out with Brielle's underwear and TJs crocs. It was hilarious, especially since she looks kinda like a hillbilly with her sweet hair-do! I am so thankful for my crazy kids life would not be the same without them!

Happy Birthday Cecilie!

One of my best friends and awesome neighbor turned the big 40, her husband wanted to throw her a surprise party, so of course I can never turn down a chance to party!! She was totally surprised and we had a ton of people and fun! Cecilie and I met while build our houses and we joke that we bonded over the stressful situation together! We have been friends ever since! I love her so much and appreciate her friendship. She is a the most beautiful person inside and out, a great listener and always gives good advise, she is a great Mom and wife, talented, and so smart. I can always count on her for anything, and her and her family are more than our friends they are family. Thank you for being you, you are the best! I hope you enjoyed your big day!
