Our BIG and CRAZY family!!

We had the whole family (TJ's side) together for Ryan's birthday and man are we getting big!! We had such a great time and I wanted to get a picture of all the cousins since it will be another couple of months until they are all together again and man is it hard getting 9 kids together and take their picture. They were crying and we all just kept taken pictures, the daddies finally came to their rescue and picked em up! Well here's all the the cousins!

Hunter's first day of school

I know Hunter has been in school a few weeks now and loves it but, I just got these pictures from my parents. Here he is on his first day of kindergarden!! Mrs. Guynn had a treasure hunt around the classroom to find where everything is. Thanks Mom and Dad for taking him and taking all the pictures! There are tons more but I don't want to scan them all, so here are a couple.

Take me out to the ball game...

We all went to the Roadrunner's fan appreciation game last night, they had give-aways, and fireworks at the end of the game which were pretty good. They lost but we still had fun, it was such a nice night and our seats were under a misting system and fans. Nothing better than a game of baseball, treats, and family. At the beginning Hunter wanted to play baseball when he grows up and by the end of the night proclaimed he wanted to be a Mascot!!! I think he liked watching Reggie and Saturn the roadrunners shaken their groove thing all night. Brielle just wanted to eat popcorn all night and climb under the seats. And Sophie as usual fell asleep for most of it and loved watching the fireworks she was laughing at the big booming ones. We had a great time together.

Daddy/Kid Night!

Heather and I finally had the chance to go on our birthday date for her birthday that was a few weeks ago. We went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner, to the mall, and saw the Sisterhood of the traveling pants. So TJ being the great dad he is took ALL three kids to McDonald's and the Roadrunner's game. Now that is a great dad in my opinion. He even took pictures, the kids had a blast and so did I!!

Brielle's first day of school

Brielle had her first day of preschool and boy was it a different experience with her. On Hunter's first day of preschool he just wanted me to drop him off and not go in with him well, Brielle wanted me to stay the whole time. So I explained to her while driving that I would go in with her for a minute and then leave and TJ would pick her up since I had to take Sophie to the Dr's. Well it sounded good until we got there, as soon as I got ready to leave she started crying! Yep, full on crying and had a death gripe on me! I don't know who this kids is she doesn't have a shy bone in her body. So the teacher had to pry her off of me and said she would call if she didn't stop in ten minutes. I went to the Dr and no call so I assume she was fine but I still worried the whole time. I called TJ to see if he picked her up and he said he was next in line and then saw her coming out the door. I was like is she pissed off or crying, we all know once Brielle is in a certain mood she is pretty headstrong to stay that way. So I imagine a really upset girl coming out the door but he said she was smiling so I listened as she got into the the truck. She stared laughing and said she loved preschool because she got....... a SNACK! Yep, that's my girl! I didn't need to tell her how much fun she would have meeting new friends, singing, reading, playing games and learning gymnastics, all she wanted was the snack! She loves preschool now and can't wait for Wednesday, thank goodness!

Rollin Rollin Rollin

Sophie had her four month check up and is now 16.2lbs which is in the 85th percentile and is 24 3/4" in height which is in the 75th percentile. She did really well getting her shots and has no side effects at all. She had another ear infection so I took her to the Chiropractor again this afternoon and this time will do a few follow up appointments and we'll see if its still infected in a couple of weeks. My poor girls got my bad ears! She started rolling but isn't a pro at it yet but I'm sure she will be after practicing! She still prefers just to lounge in one spot looking around. Her favorite thing lately is babbling and blowing raspberries, it's so cute!

Washington D.C.

Wow what a trip!!! TJ's brother and his family are out in Arlington Virginia for the summer so we decided to go visit for a couple of days. We did so much in just a small amount of time! Sophie turned four months on Sunday and did really well on the flights she basically slept the entire time. Everyone just goggled over her everywhere we went. We arrived Sunday morning and the first place we visited was Georgetown, cute little town with lots of shops and amazing buildings. I got sick while walking around so we went home and rested. I don't know if it was the no sleep all night and no food all day or what but I felt much better after a nap. We had a yummy Sunday dinner and my funny brother in law made is own BBQ out of a colander, weird but it did made a great steak though!
Monday we booked it around the National Mall and saw all the monuments but by the time we got to the Smithsonian museums we only had an hour so we missed out on seeing those but we did get to see the the Air and Space museum. It was such and neat feeling seeing all the historical places I am a history buff and really enjoyed it but boy are my feet sore! It's pretty funny everywhere we went people thought Sophie and Jonathan were twins, we took our double stroller so next to each other the look similiar in size I guess Jonathan is five months and Sophie is four months. They had fun together and whenever one would cry the other would follow!
Tuesday we all were able to go and take a personal tour of the White House with TJ's friend that works for the Secret Service. It was amazing walking around the mansion where so many things have have gone on! He told us some pretty interesting stories and we had a great time looking around. Afterward we headed to Mount Vernon and saw George Washington's estate. It was beautiful I can see why he loved it so much! Following the tour we went home to rest and change to go to Luigi's Pizza before heading to the White house again for the Oval Office and west wing tour. The pizza was really yummy and it was a cute place. The oval office and grounds were amazing I got a bit emotional when I saw the Oval Office, it was small but to think of everything that has happened there and what will go on in the future is really humbling. Thanks Chris for the incredible tour we will always remember this once in a lifetime experience! It was also our four year anniversary so we took a night walk and saw all the monuments lit up. Simply breathtaking especially the Lincoln Memorial. I love you T thanks for four great years and wonderful trip!!!
Wednesday we slept in and then took a tour of Arlington Cemetery, which was huge!!! It was such an amazing place. I really liked the JFK gravesite and General Lee's home. Then it was time to head home to see our big Kindergartner and preschooler. Hunter really loves school (pics to come soon) and they had so much fun at their grandparents houses THANKS so much we appreciate being able to leave them and not having to worry!! They had a blast! Thanks Ryan and Katherine we had so much fun and we are so glad we had the chance to have some fun together!! We appreciate your hospitality!!

Swim Lessons

The kids swim lessons are done, well I should say Hunter's swim lessons are over with since Brielle only went for a week. The teacher had her on her back and let go so she sank a bit under water and was really mad she let go. Right after it happened she got out, grabbed her towel and said she was done. So the next week she just watched Hunter. Hunter did really well he can swim by himself but I wanted him to learn a little more technique. He had fun teasing his teacher and getting a chance to do knee dives (his favorite).
