Hunter's Graduation

Hunter graduated from Preschool today, we are so proud of him! They sang some songs and all the kids had a small speaking part, they were all so cute! Hunter has really grown this year, he can write his name all by himself and knows most of his letter sounds and can point out all the letters when we read. On his papers from the teacher they said they would miss his contagious smile and practical jokes. Every morning we drive up and the teachers get them out of the car Hunter always scares them by hiding in the back, every morning without fail, so I can just imagine what he does at school! Hunter has really enjoyed Montessori and is excited his little sister will be going next year even though Mrs Pat and Miss Melissa are moving up north, we loved them so much and wish them the best in there new adventures! Good job Hunter!!!

It's getting HOT HOT HOT

It is officially summer in Sunny St. George! It's over 100 degrees and to keep cool while my parents were down we went to Sand Hollow. We celebrated Mother's Day and TJ's birthday since my parents were gone. My dad found these great jet ski's at Sam's club and the kids had a blast! They zoomed around and Brielle would lean to which ever side she was trying to turn it was really cute! TJ pulled me into the water it wasn't as cold as I thought but still I like my water a bit warmer! We also took them to the water park, we had a great time and luckily no sunburns!

CRUNCH!!!

So, at the ripe age of 25 I finally had my first fender bender. I was going to Costco by myself for some major shopping alone (I know it sounds lame but as a mother of three now even Costco is a bit of a getaway!) I was waiting for a space while being honked at by some jerk wanting to get out of his space I go to pull in and there is a motorcycle! Seriously who drives a motorcycle to Costco! I go to back out and get the space of the jerk still honking and then BAM horns are honking and I look back at a once vacant isle to a PT Cruiser. No one was hurt and there is minimal damage I only need a new bumper and the other guy needs a new bumper but I cried, It was my first wreck I called my sweet husband who by the way is a horrible driver and has been in quite a few wrecks, to talk me through what to do! Seriously, I never get in a wreck with all my crappy cars and only 7 months after buying my first dream SUV I crush its beautiful bumper! Well at least no one was hurt and I will be extra careful when backing out from now on!

Mother's Day!

Wow I am the luckiest Mom in the world!! I have the best husband and kids in the world! We started the day off with snuggling on the couch watching cartoons and eating cinnamon rolls. I got a new pair of shoes, some books I've been wanting, bath and body works stuff, a gift certificate to get my hair done, a PF beach bag, the movie 27 dresses, and gorgeous flowers! But my favorite was the cards the kids and TJ made! Then we got ready and went to Grandma Bentley's gravesite. Hunter drew a picture at school and asked if he could put it by the flowers we bought the other day. It was such a darling picture of the two of them, he is such a sweet boy. After that we took KFC to the water park and enjoyed the hot weather until it was time for the kids to take a nap. TJ and I watched The Lake house (I fell asleep for some of it though) and then headed to Grandma Cannon's before our dinner at TJ's parents. We had a yummy steak and shrimp dinner and hung out then headed home to get ready for school. I am so grateful to have such amazing Mom's in my life! Thank you! I didn't get to see my mom today which was kinda sad we usually have breakfast together but we called her and we will celebrate this weekend! I love you mom!

Sophie month 1

I cannot believe my little Sophie is already a month old! Time really does go by way to fast (well, not at 2am) We love her so much and cannot image life without her now! She is such a good baby and is already sleeping in four hour increments!! YEAH a little more sleep for me!!! She hardly ever cries and is perfectly content being snuggled!

Hunter's Gymnastic Review

Hunter's preschool also teaches the kids gymnastics on Fridays. Hunter has had a ton of fun learning all these new tricks! I thought it was just gym but it is full on Gymnastics! He did so good it was fun to watch him! He was a awarded with a medal and certificate that said he had great V-sits! We are so proud of him!

T-BALL!!!

Hunter had his first T-ball game today and he LOVED it! He plays on the Colts team and is really good!! He played first and third base and said he liked first base the best! He is also a really good hitter, he can knock em out of the park!! We are so excited watching him try new things and having fun! Tonight when he was getting ready for bed and didn't want to take off his uniform he doesn't want to take it off EVER
!

Happy #29!!!

Saturday was TJ's 29th birthday!!! We made him breakfast and then Hunter took him to see Ironman while me and the girls got ready for the BBQ! We had so much fun with all our family! We are so lucky to have everyone live so close! Thanks to everyone that came we hope you had fun and we appreciate all you do for us! I think TJ had a good birthday and I want him to know I love him so very much! He is my best friend and works so hard to provide for our growing family! We have such a great time, he is such an amazing person and I am so grateful I have him and our kids!

Pizza!!!

We decided to make our own pizza's tonight for dinner, now usually TJ just brings home some delicious pizza but the kids had fun making their own! They turned out so yummy!

Want some lemonade?

My parents bought the kids this lemonade stand last year, I have fond memories of selling lemonade as a kid. I found out when I was little my dad would call the neighbors and friends and tell them to drive by and buy our lemonade. I also remember one time to save on costs we didn't put sugar in and walked around the neighborhood door to door selling it. Those poor neighbors! While my parents were visiting this weekend we got it out for the first time this season and Hunter's friends decided to help too. Hunter was so sweet a few kids would come by and not have any money and he would give them some anyway. After waiting for awhile with hardly any sells they started to get creative and walk around the neighborhood asking people if they wanted some! Cy even put a basket on his bike and rode around. They made like ten bucks in little over an hour! I've found my new part time job this summer! :)

Sophie's Photo Shoot

Here is Sophie's first photo shoot at a week old! At her two week appointment she is already 8 lbs and 21 1/2 inches!!! The Dr. thinks I have cream instead of milk, I agree!!!

My Big Helper

Brielle has been such a big helper lately she helps me with Sophie and takes care of her own baby too. Bathing, feeding, burping, just about anything! It's really cute to see her with her own baby doll. Well a few nights ago I walked into the kitchen to find coffee grinds everywhere and a coffee filter with coffee beans and grinds jammed inside the coffee maker. I yelled for Brielle to come in the kitchen and asked her why in the world she made such a mess. She looked at me so innocently and said "I made daddy his morning coffee." TJ makes his coffee at night and sets it to go off in the morning so I guess she thought she would help him out. Needless to say she had to clean up her mess still! Then Last night after we got home from the park I was feeding Sophie and Brielle comes out of her room and asks me to tie her apron and goes back to play. After I'm done I go into her room and discover four broken eggs on her play oven. She looks at me and says "Mommy I'm making eggs!" I had to leave the room it was so funny.

Let's Go Fly a Kite

Me and my friend Cecilie took the kids to the Dixie Kite festival over the weekend and had a ton of fun seeing all the fun kites! When we got there it wasn't very windy so I left the kids kites in the car and told them Monday we would go to the park and have a picnic and fly them there. We walked around and played games and Cesia (Cecilie's daughter) decided to fly her kite. We watched her for awhile and the kids were bored so we told them it was time to go. Just after we put the kite away a huge gust of wind started and there were tons of kites going down all around us! Kids were crying and being pulled around it was quite funny! We did fly our Kites at the park Monday night and again it was very windy. We had a picnic and the kids ran around the playground and flew kites. Sophie's Jaundice is gone so we no longer have to sun bath her outside anymore. Luckily her levels kept going down so she never had to go under the lights.

My cute little Family

We have had a few days together as a family of five well six if you count Jax (our cute doggie)! I honestly thought it would be a lot harder but its not!! It's just a little more time consuming to get out the door these days! The kids adore her and are such great helpers! She is such a good baby the only thing is it's so hard to get her to wake up. Sophie has jaundice and has to eat every 2-3 hours and that is a chore to get her to wake up and stay awake long enough to eat. We have to get her checked every day to make sure her levels are not too high, right now she is in the intermediate level so hopefully it goes down tomorrow.

Sophie Bentley 4-9-08

WOW!!! What a day Wednesday was for us. The hospital called at 5:00 am and told us to be there by 6:30 am. We got our stuff ready and since TJ was suppose to work that morning we had to pick up two of his employees and take them to work and open up the store plus we stopped at the redbox to get some dvd's for Tj to watch since my inductions usually take all day. We got to the hospital and they started my pitocin at about 7:00 am and then broke my water at 8:30 when I was dilated to a three and 80% effaced. Well around 10:00 I was starting to really feeling like I wanted my epidural so in came the anaesthesiologist, at 10:30 I was at a five and 80% effaced. By 11:00 I am in screaming pain on only my left side. He tried a ton of different medications and techniques but nothing was helping. He told me he gave me more meds then a c-section would need and that the epidural must be surrounded by scar tissue from my previous births. So he moved up the Epidural and inch and within fifteen minutes I was in heaven. So after two epidurals and an hour or so in agonizing pain, the nurse checked me at 12:15 and I was dilated to a 7 and 100% effaced, she guessed I would have her at 2:00pm. We called everyone and told them to start coming in and then I told TJ I didn't think I would make it to 2:00, I could feel the pressure of her head like she was right there ready to go. The nurse came in ten minutes later and I told her I could feel her so she checked me and said I was ready to go. Yep I went from a 7 to a 10 in minutes. TJ's mom had just got there and my family was on their way as far as everyone else we knew it was too late. We told the nurse we need to try and wait ten minutes my parents and sister were almost there. I started pushing and in came my family and TJ's dad. I pushed through two contractions with the nurse and thought she was going to deliver her. Cecilie came in as my Dr. came and after pushing through three contractions out she came at 12:44 pm. Heather walked in right after, we were all in shock it happened so fast! Sophie Bentley was 6lbs 15Oz's and 19 inches! She is so cute and has the funniest little cry, she sounds like a goat. She is feeding like a champ and we are all in love with her!

Our Last Night

So I am going in tomorrow to have a baby!!!! Its really surreal that soon I will be holding her instead of feeling her squirm around. Im ready for this to be over, I'm not one of those people who love being pregnant. But I will miss feeling her and knowing she is safe inside. I received this email awhile ago and saved it because it is so true. Even though I'm not in labor it still is somewhat the same thing, waiting to go to the hospital tonight or tomorrow, and hopefully getting some sleep!!! Just think my next post will be Sophie's birth announcement!

The darkness engulfs my bulging figure as I gracelessly flop to the other side. Peaceful sleep has become a thing of the past since somewhere in these nine plus months I have metamorphosed into a female Buddha. Tonight's restlessness, however, is not unwelcome. It isn't the heartburn or the frequent need to go to the bathroom that is keeping me awake. I place my hand on my stomach as you roll over and poke me with a protruding limb. The game of "try to guess my body part" has become a favorite pasttime of mine. Soon, however, the mystery will be revealed, and I will be able to see with my own eyes what has been causing all this commotion inside. For such a tiny life, you sure do know how to make your presence well-known. I can hardly believe that, before long, my tiny butterfly will spread his or her wings and retreat from the warm cocoon.
I glance over at your sleeping father who is oblivious as to what is happening. "We won't wake your Daddy just yet." I whiper to you in my mind. These private conversations will be deeply missed, as will the now familiar acrobatics that you perform. "No, we'll keep this our little secret for just a little while more." The increasing waves tell me that this will be our last night, and I want to hold on to these final moments as mother and unborn child.
The past month I have gone from anxiously counting down to feverently praying for this moment to get here. I already feel like I have been pregnant a lifetime. It's not just my body either that has been stretched to the end of its limit. I have gone way beyond the cute pregnant woman stage and have entered the "beached whale" phase. If I hear one more time, "Are you still pregnant?" Or "How far along did you say you were?" I relly think I might burst! (Pardon the pun) Don't get me wrong, I have loved carrying you inside me and am utterly amazed that my body has nurtured and been your safe haven for all these months. These past days though, I admit, I have been preoccupied with one though...."Would you get here, already!"
Now that our journey as mother and unborn child is finally coming to an end, however, I am not prepared for this melancholy drifting over me. There is a bit of sadness mingled with my joy of what lies ahead. I long to hold you in my arms, and yet, part of me still wants to carry on this special bond that we share right now. At that thought, you give me a gigantic kick, as if to remind me, "Hey Mommy, we still have that special bond; it will just be different!" My face lights up with a smile, and I am filled with an overwhelming sense of love and happiness. I am ready for our last night as mother and unborn child to come to an end and for our first day together as mother and newborn to begin. I touch my stomach one last time, caressing the now familiar shape of the unseen you. Then I remove my hand, reaching over to wake up your father. It is time.

Grandma Bentley

TJ's sweet Grandma Bentley passed away early Sunday morning. She was such a selfless warm lady, we will miss her.  She valued her family and she always had time of all of us. My fondest memory of her was when we went out to dinner with them to Golden Corral and I had the perfect steak, so she went to get one but of course it wasn't as good as mine, so she would take pieces of mine and when I was done she asked if she could have the rest (when she already had ate most of it anyway!) I will never forget that day. She always thanked us for the little things we would do for her over and over again, and sincerely meant it. I would take the kids about once a month and on holidays to visit them and every time she would offer us tons of different kinds of leftover food the whole time we were there, of course we'd decline due to the fact you didn't know how long it had been sitting there. She loved seeing the kids and always came to all our events, even if it was an hour or so late!    She will be missed!! Love you Grandma!!!

Mary Mary Quite Contrary!

Spring is in full bloom at our house! We've planted our garden, pruned our bushes, and spruced up the yard with some flowers.


Hunter had his kindergarten physical and it was quite an event. First he was told to pee in a cup so they could check for infection, kidneys, and diabetes. He looked at the nurse and was like "No way! I'm not suppose to!" Then after the Dr. was done checking him out he explained to him that he was a Dr. and his mom was there and asked him to drop his pants. Hunter looked at him and said "NO!" We tried and tried but my modest boy would not pull down his pants! The fun part was the shots Hunter had to get four and Brielle had to get one. I sat them on the table side by side and held them down, I swear people probably thought we were killing them in there! When it was done Hunter said "Growing up is not fun!" I told him it was only the beginning!
I also had my last Dr. appointment today and was scheduled for April 9th, 2008!!!!! Unless I go before then, yeah right lets hope not! My family is going to Montana this weekend to look for houses for my sister, she's attending P.A. school there in May! I can't believe Sophie will be here in a week! I can't wait to see her little face, and hold her tiny hands! Hunter is excited and repeatedly tells me my belly is getting too big so Sophie will be a huge baby! Brielle is just enjoying her moment as the baby for now! This will be an adventure!
