Jumpin Jacks

We decided to take the kids and our nephew Luke to Jumpin Jacks, poor Luke usually has to stay home whenever I take his sisters to do something fun so we thought he would enjoy a special day. We just love this little guy, he reminds me of Hunter when he was little, he is just a sweetheart. He also thinks Uncle TJ is the greatest and wanted him to go on all of the bouncy things with him the whole time. While we were there we got a bunch of treats, when they were done eating Luke saw the pop machine and said "I'm really thirsty" and would sigh. And he just looked at the pop machine and then looked at us and sighed. We told him we didn't have anymore money but there was a drinking fountain. He just kept looking at us with the sweetest face and I wanted to get him a root beer so bad but all the sudden he ran over to the drinking fountain and then took off to bounce. TJ and I just laughed he was so cute! Luke and Brielle were drinking so much water that while we were leaving it look liked they entered a wet T-shirt contest! Thanks for hanging out with us Luke! We love you so very much!

LA LA LOVE.....

Valentine's Day is in two weeks and I want to know what everyone's plans are if you are weird like me and plan things way way in advance! It is my year to plan Valentine's Day but TJ has to work until 9pm so there is not much I can do. The kids and I will do some fun things during the day and deliver lunch or something. But I want to post our most memorable Valentine's Day, TJ and I were just friends at the time, we didn't even think of each other in any other way. It had been six months since Mark had died and Ashlee and I didn't have Valentines, well except for Hunter. Heather made cookies a few days before with us and "Cupid" dropped them off at the doors of our friends. Well, the next night three heart shaped pizza's arrived at our house! So we decided to make a game out of it. The next day we had some stranger deliver a huge bouquet of balloons to TJ's work. Then some gorgeous flowers appeared at our house! We thought we were sneaky since Valentines Day was on a night that TJ had to close, meaning we would win the Cupid War! We put this ugly blow-up bear in the doorway with hearts all around and a sign that said WAR WON! Well little did we know one of the delivery drivers would drive by and tell TJ about it. So he got off work and bought three bears, balloons, candy, and a heart shaped cookie and won! We were so mad, it was one of the best Valentine's of my life and I didn't even have a boyfriend lol! It was so much fun and oddly enough a month later we became more than friends (that story will be next!)

Day 3 Happy Birthday Hunter

Words cannot express just how much I love this little guy! We have been through so much together and have grown up together too! Hunter has something special about him, he is just a great kid. I love this mischievous smile, his adorable dimples, and most of all his tender heart. There is not a day that goes by that Hunter doesn't tell me I am the best Mom in the world and that I look cute, sometimes I even get told I am the most beautiful Mom! He is very helpful and is such a good friend and student, and loves soccer and basketball. He is also a very talented artist and loves to build things, he is really into lego's right now. It has been so much fun watching my little buddy grow up and though it is sad it's happening so fast I am so blessed to be his Mom! I love you Hunter, thank you for being such a blessing in my life! Happy 6th birthday!!! We gave Hunter a pirate fish tank and went to the store and he picked out two fish's and he named them bomber and cutie pie. While putting together his lego ship Hunter told me this was the best day of his life. Ha ha I will take it as a compliment even though he is only six!

Day 2 Superhero Training Party!!

The party has come and gone and I really need some sleep now :)!! It rained but it turned out fine inside. We had a great turn out and the boys had so much fun, looking at these cute pictures makes it all worth it! When they walked in I took a pic of them for their superhero training badges and put their fingerprint on it then I used a glowstick to scan their eyes while the Batman theme played in the background. While waiting for everyone to arrive they decorated white masks with stickers. Then we ate pizza and breadtwists of course! For games we played, superhero training obstacle course, web the bad guys, tie up the villains race, save the city from falling rocks (black balloons), and my dad did some magic tricks and even showed them his new found talent juggling! The kids said he was the coolest Grandpa and we agree! The kids became superhero's and received their capes and Hunter opened presents and then we ate cupcakes, I didn't have time to put the webs on the frosting but oh well they devoured them pretty fast anyway! Thanks for helping Mom and Dad and thanks to all Hunter's cute friends for helping Hunter celebrate his birthday! I cannot fix the pictures being cut off so if you want to see them just click on the view all button on the bottom! sorry :)

Day 1 of Hunter's birthday celebrations!!

Today was the start of Hunter's birthday celebration! He passed out his birthday treats (batman fruit roll-ups) to his class. They are all so cute to watch, they said the treats were "totally awesome!" Then Grandma Kathy picked him up from school and took him to Wendy's and the store to pick out his present. He came home loaded with fun things! The first thing he did was call his best friend to come over and play with them. Then Grandma and Grandpa Wach picked him up for a movie and sleepover. He was so excited for this day more than his real birthday! He is blessed with such wonderful Grandparents that love him so much and spend a lot of quality time with him. He has so many fond memories and traditions. Thank you guys for all you do for him, he thinks you are the "best in the whole world!"

My brother and sister-in-law went on a cruise and I took Jonathan for a couple of days. He is one month older than Sophie. All I can say is WOW!!! I got absolutely nothing done, seriously, I barely showered the second day. He was really sad and confused and just wanted to be held all day poor thing missed his parents. He is such a doll and the kids were such big helpers, they had fun playing with their cousin.

Calming down!

We have been pretty boring lately in the Bentley house, which is nice break from the hectic holidays. It's been so warm here so we've done some yard work and TJ re-sheet rocked a wall at the Pizza Factory and I painted and glazed it, and bought a new mirror, so if you are in there make sure you let me know if you like it, and keep in mind I am no professional. lol! Painting got me wanting to change my house so I started redoing the guest bathroom and the kid's. I am also working on Hunter's birthday party stuff for next Saturday!! I love parties so it's been fun!!! The kids are back into their school schedules and doing really well. Hunter is now in the reading himself level and is really excelling in all area's. He will be playing soccer with the city league in March and is getting really excited. He recently bought a 3d shark boy and lava girl dvd and made us all watch it and thinks its the greatest show. Brielle is doing really well in all her subjects and gymnastics and is still taking dance and loving it! She drew on Sophie's face with brown marker and said it was because I told her she couldn't draw on my scrapbook paper! Our family New Year Resolution was to spend at least one hour all together with no electronics (phones, computer, TV, etc) and doesn't cost anything, we have been doing really well we don't count the Wii since its something we all can do together and we really enjoy it. The kid's have really enjoyed picking out an activity for the day that all of us can do. My parent's are coming down over the weekend and we are excited to get out in this gorgeous 60 degree weather with blue skies and soak it in while it lasts! If anyone wants to get out of the smog and cold weather our door is always open (I mean that literally lol)

Sophie Month 9

Sophie is getting closer to crawling if everyone would let her try more! She is the baby so whenever she gets frustrated she has all of us to pick her up, and it doesn't help she has two active siblings that have to be ran around everywhere so she hardly gets to play on the floor. But she gets on all fours and moves back and forth and goes forward and flops! The she gets up and grabs the carpet and pulls herself forward! It's pretty funny. We have been calling her Tweety Bird lately because she does this arm flapping thing especially when she wants something. She loves to dance or bop as we call it since she just bops up and down, She has the cutest little giggle when we tickle her under her arms and neck. She is losing her baby fat, you can see her neck now! She hasn't gained any weight and is still 20lbs. I don't know if I have ever put she does this weird roll the tongue to side to side thing. She also love bath time and showers.
