Brielle

This girl makes us crazy and keeps us laughing all the time! During the first few weeks of school by the time I got Sophie and the baby in the house, Brielle was on the couch fast asleep.

She is doing great at her school and I am so impressed with what she is learning already! Every night she has a page of math homework and has to read 20 minutes. At the end of the week she has to pick her favorite book and answer a few questions and draw a picture. She loves doing homework, the first weekend after school started she woke up in a panic saying "I didn't do my homework last night!" I told her it was Saturday she didn't have school! It makes me happy she is loving it.
I was helping the teacher with an upcoming school event and she was reading the book about the 3 little pigs, afterward they were doing a cute assignment, when the part about the pig saying "Not by the hair of my chinny chin chin." came up she delightfully said "My Mom and Grandma have hairs on their chins!" I died, turned bright red and laughed. Yes now everyone knows, I blame bad genes!

First smiles

Around 5 weeks we started getting some smiles from our lil chief. I love after weeks of exhausting hard work you get this little grin that makes your heart melt. Everytime I bust out the camera he stops, but this morning after breakfast and a bath he was talking up a storm so we went in the back and took a million pictures. Of course the really good ones were out of focus or the flash didn't go off but we did get a few grins :)

Soccer Season!!!

Hunter and Brielle had their first soccer games of the season!

I had to coach Brielle's game, everyone that knows me knows I am awful at sports and have no clue what's going on. I was thinking it wouldn't be too bad, I would just let the coach on the other team take over and guide the girls toward the goal, little did I know the other coach was a sub too and had no clue what to do either! I had the whistle and stopwatch so I ended up doing everything, I am sure everyone was laughing at us. Luckily the girls had a blast and we won 6-3, Brielle scored 3 goals and really went after the ball. At the end of the game we were in our team huddle and I told the girls they did great and TJ was sick but would be back next week. Brielle then blabs "He's not sick Mom! He had surgery on his privates!!" I quickly changed the subject but can just imagine what the girls are telling their parents on the way home! TJ got a vasectomy the day before and needs to lay low over the weekend, we are a pretty open family and we had to explained why he couldn't lift the kids and not to jump on him so we told them a kid friendly version of the procedure. Obviously we didn't emphasis enough the importance of not to telling other people the details!
Hunter did really good, he played stopper the whole game and did great defending the goal. Hopefully next game they will move him around more.

Hello

Callaway is such a strong lil guy, he has been holding his head up and rolling to his back this week. He weighs 10lbs 2oz and loves to coo and ahh at us, most the time he sounds mad but I think he is just trying to fit into the circus around him :) He had his first cold and is still congested a little but seems to feel better. Gotta love back to school germs :)

It's football season!!!

Brielle's first day of Kindergarten

The day we have waited for has come, Brielle is in Kindergarten!!! She had her assessment the week before and knew everything, she answered questions even before the teacher asked them, she even corrected her a few times. When she was done her teacher said she is ready isn't she. :)
The first day she was so excited and nervous, she didn't want us to leave but TJ told her we have already gone to school so we couldn't stay. She made us promise to come have lunch with her so we agreed. We walked into the lunch room with subway and she told us to go home! The lunchroom was full of kindergartners and their parents so we decided to go home, I kissed her goodbye and she was like bye Mom. She looked so big chatting with her friends eating lunch. I picked her up and she was so excited about recess, lunch, reading and a bathroom in the classroom! The next day she told me not to walk her to class just to drop her off. I am so glad she loves school!

Odds and ends

My parents hotel had the best kids pool, every night we wore the kids out before bed there.

After the ceremony we went to the park and had lunch, it was such a nice day and so much fun hanging out with family.
We had the boys and girls track team run by and for a funny picture the bride and groom went with them!



The kids were playing baseball and got the ball stuck in the tree and my monkey went and got it out!
