Free kids day!

Our local gas station/car wash had a free kids day, I was surprised just how much stuff there was to do. The first thing we had to do was sign a disclaimer but they gave the kids free shirts and water bottles and then let them run wild. I get a kick out of this picture, the sun was so bright and they had one size fits all shirts.... love these nuts! :)

Hunter loves carnival type games and is really good at them, he gets that from TJ, those two can win anything! He kept going back to all of them and always carefully chose his prize. After awhile he had a finger full of halloween fun.

He was also my little helper making sure he's Sisters were safe in the petting zoo.

Sophie was into the bounce houses but not if Brielle was in there with her...

and the small petting zoo we couldn't get her out!

Brielle's favorite was the pony rides, the owner thought she owned a horse she was such a pro at riding.

Callaway had fun looking around and would squeal and move his hands and feet so fast at the Scooby Doo and Cat in the Hat characters, then took a nap, oh the life!

We stopped by TJs work afterward to say hi and as I was telling him about it he asked if I had forgotten to finish something this morning. I told him I am pretty sure I have forgotten a ton of things. He told me to look in the mirror and I saw this...

Yep, I forgot mascara on one of my eyes! I am not doing well getting ready these days, sheesh!
In my defense it's not easy getting 4 kids and myself ready!
We had a great couple of hours of fun, but then again it doesn't take much to entertain us :)

Hot Date Night @ Tuacahn!

TJ got us tickets to see Crazy for you out at Tuacahn. We had such a "parent" date night as we call them, you know the dates when you have to be a parent and a date too.
It stared with me having 20 minutes to shower and get ready, I had some volunteer work to do at Brielle's school so I barely had time to get ready and totally forgot to put mascara on, thank heavens I have permanent eyeliner! We had to feed the kids quick before taking them over to TJs parents house so it was a mac n cheese night, not that they complained. Then we didn't have time to go to Olive Garden like we planned so we decided to try Wing Nutz instead. It was really good but took forever, we had barely started eating when Callaway started fussing because he was hungry and we only had 15 minutes before the show started. I took the baby to the car to feed him while TJ paid for dinner and then we headed to the show. Lately we both have been falling asleep soon after we put the kids to bed so during the whole show we both had bobbing heads and kept laughing that the old people had more energy than us lol.
It was a good show, pretty funny and great singing and dancing but we both agreed Tarzan was the show of the season still. Callaway was cooing and loving the first 30 minutes of the show and then was asleep for the rest, such a good boy. So glad we got out of the house even if it was a crazy "parent" date!

The Boys of Fall...

Hunter had his first flag football game of the season, TJ and his cousin are coaching together again, it's been so much fun having Hunter and Carter play together! Our team did really well, they didn't even let the other team score! Hunter made 2 touchdowns and was awesome on defense, he got a little too into the game a few times and instead of just grabbin the flags he took em down, lol. Way to go Hunter, you're tough like bull :)

His first touchdown this season, the play by play.
He catches the ball

He's going....

going....

going....

and TOUCHDOWN!!!!

This face is what makes it all worthwhile :)

I missed the chest bumping he did with Carter, so cute, I mean so cool:)
GO SEAHAWKS!!!
*Funny Moment* I had just came off the sidelines and put my camera away, I took Callaway from TJs Aunt and was trying to get him to fall asleep when all the sudden I hear my name, I look around and then down at Sophie, she has pulled her pants and underwear down in front of everyone! I quickly pulled up her pants and asked if she needed to go potty, she said yes! Crap! A Mom from our team grabbed Callaway and we ran to the school but of course it's locked, so we hid behind a garbage can and went potty, you try telling a 2 year old to hold it! Luckily no one saw us, I would have laughed if we had a little streaker run across the field! When you gotta go you gotta go!

Car show

While driving around town if one of the kids finds a car thats "wicked awesome" or "sick" they will scream what the car is. I took them to the car show and Hunter brought his friend August who started Hunter on his love for nice cars. Hunter said it was the best day of his life and that I was the best Mom in the universe! Yep, it made pushing the stroller through wet grass and repeating don't touch the cars worth it. :) They told me which cars they wanted their pictures with and after a few the boys said "You can put these on Facebook!" Oh how they start young. I got a kick out of all their poses!

My handsome 2nd grader

2nd grade, man he is so big, it makes me sad! Looking at all his school pictures its amazing how much he has changed, he has lost his baby face and grown some big kid teeth, we Love you Hunter, you are such a handsome kid!

2 month stats

Callaway had his 2 month check up and here are his stats:
12.82 lbs 60%
23.62 inches 70%

He is growing up strong and healthy! I noticed yesterday he was getting thrush again, seriously a pain in the butt, none of the others got it so this is new to me and I hate it! So once again we are sterilizing and wiping on cream everywhere. I think I'm going to put him in his room now to see if we both will sleep better, he usually does a 5 hour block and then 3 but I am hoping to get him to go longer because I am exhausted. He is just always wanting to eat, typical boy I guess! His personality is starting to show, he is always smiling at us and started really cooing and moving his hands and feet at the same time. He makes us laugh, we sure love our chunky monkey!

Grand Prize Winner!!!

Brielle came home from school one day with a fundraiser, normally we don't do school fundraisers but she was so excited and really wanted to win the grand prize. It became a great lesson for her on working hard towards a goal and achieving it. TJ being the great Dad he is took her to his work and around the town basically making family and friends buy 28oz of Carmel popcorn for $15.50 each, total rip off but for a great cause. Brielle even called Grandma Leslie and asked her if she wanted some delicious Carmel popcorn. That's right its not just Carmel popcorn its delicious! :) She bought some and then Brielle asked for grandpa, she is good right? lol! She got them both to buy some! She memorized what to say and practiced while going door to door, some houses she was shy but at most she gave her speech loud and clear. She sold 41 that came to $635.50 for her school and guess what.... she won first prize!!! She was beaming when I picked her up, she said that she won and they said her name over the loud speaker! She won an Ipod, monopoly game, and gift certificates to the movie theater, olive garden, and golden spoon. We are so proud of your hard work BB, you can do anything you set your mind to do! Thanks to everyone that helped her achieve her goal, you were apart of a very fun moment for her!

Kolob

We decided to have a picnic up in Kolob since the leaves are starting to change. It was so nice up there, crisp and cool with the smell of fall in the air, such a nice break from the 100 degree temperatures we are still having! The kids love exploring the land and found a ton of pretty leaves.

Brielle got hit in the head by a falling acorn, she thought Hunter threw it at her but it fell from the tree! We thought it was pretty funny but she didn't...

Before we left Sophie threw a fit and was on the ground crying, she didn't even care that her cute bum was hanging out.

We stopped and fed the burrows apples, once again Sophie has no fear, Hunter was such a good brother and kept telling her to keep her hand flat.
