Day 1 of Hunter's birthday celebrations!!

Today was the start of Hunter's birthday celebration! He passed out his birthday treats (batman fruit roll-ups) to his class. They are all so cute to watch, they said the treats were "totally awesome!" Then Grandma Kathy picked him up from school and took him to Wendy's and the store to pick out his present. He came home loaded with fun things! The first thing he did was call his best friend to come over and play with them. Then Grandma and Grandpa Wach picked him up for a movie and sleepover. He was so excited for this day more than his real birthday! He is blessed with such wonderful Grandparents that love him so much and spend a lot of quality time with him. He has so many fond memories and traditions. Thank you guys for all you do for him, he thinks you are the "best in the whole world!"

Crazy Days!!!

My brother and sister-in-law went on a cruise and I took Jonathan for a couple of days. He is one month older than Sophie. All I can say is WOW!!! I got absolutely nothing done, seriously, I barely showered the second day. He was really sad and confused and just wanted to be held all day poor thing missed his parents. He is such a doll and the kids were such big helpers, they had fun playing with their cousin.

Calming down!

We have been pretty boring lately in the Bentley house, which is nice break from the hectic holidays. It's been so warm here so we've done some yard work and TJ re-sheet rocked a wall at the Pizza Factory and I painted and glazed it, and bought a new mirror, so if you are in there make sure you let me know if you like it, and keep in mind I am no professional. lol! Painting got me wanting to change my house so I started redoing the guest bathroom and the kid's. I am also working on Hunter's birthday party stuff for next Saturday!! I love parties so it's been fun!!! The kids are back into their school schedules and doing really well. Hunter is now in the reading himself level and is really excelling in all area's. He will be playing soccer with the city league in March and is getting really excited. He recently bought a 3d shark boy and lava girl dvd and made us all watch it and thinks its the greatest show. Brielle is doing really well in all her subjects and gymnastics and is still taking dance and loving it! She drew on Sophie's face with brown marker and said it was because I told her she couldn't draw on my scrapbook paper! Our family New Year Resolution was to spend at least one hour all together with no electronics (phones, computer, TV, etc) and doesn't cost anything, we have been doing really well we don't count the Wii since its something we all can do together and we really enjoy it. The kid's have really enjoyed picking out an activity for the day that all of us can do. My parent's are coming down over the weekend and we are excited to get out in this gorgeous 60 degree weather with blue skies and soak it in while it lasts! If anyone wants to get out of the smog and cold weather our door is always open (I mean that literally lol)

Sophie Month 9

Sophie is getting closer to crawling if everyone would let her try more! She is the baby so whenever she gets frustrated she has all of us to pick her up, and it doesn't help she has two active siblings that have to be ran around everywhere so she hardly gets to play on the floor. But she gets on all fours and moves back and forth and goes forward and flops! The she gets up and grabs the carpet and pulls herself forward! It's pretty funny. We have been calling her Tweety Bird lately because she does this arm flapping thing especially when she wants something. She loves to dance or bop as we call it since she just bops up and down, She has the cutest little giggle when we tickle her under her arms and neck. She is losing her baby fat, you can see her neck now! She hasn't gained any weight and is still 20lbs. I don't know if I have ever put she does this weird roll the tongue to side to side thing. She also love bath time and showers.

Wach Family Pictures 08

We finally got a family picture, the last one was my wedding and before that when I was like thirteen!! Don't get me wrong my Dad and I take a ton of pictures but we hardly get one with all of us in it! It was freezing and we did two different locations and changes so the kids were pretty cranky and Hunter was GQin it all of them, but at least we got one good one!

volcano

Ashley and Hunter made the volcano together out of a kit my parents got for us but, it wasn't completely dried before she left so we finally made it erupt last night. The original capsules didn't work so we did it the old fashion way with vinegar and baking soda. Good thing the Ott boys were there to do this! It kinda just ran down the volcano I was expecting an explosion since we were experimenting!

Happy Birthday Grandpa Bentley

January 4th was Grandpa's birthday and we all got together to celebrate him turning 82! We just LOVE Grandpa so very much! He is always at every family function big or small and always has a big smile on his face! All the grand and great grand kids adore him! Brielle of course helped him with his presents and licking the candles and Hunter had fun playing with all the cousins and Sophie kept yelling at Grandpa to feed her cake!

Happy New Year/ Happy Birthday to me.

New Years Eve we headed to first night and hung out, the kids did all the jumpin bounce house things and Brielle even boogied to people singing karaoke! They had fireworks at 10pm for the kids and then we went to Pizza Factory for some hot coco. At home we barely stayed awake for midnight to roll around. Hunter went to bed and said he really needed his rest and Brielle didn't really understand the whole new year thing. My birthday which is also the same day as my Mother in law was well..... ordinary. TJ got the stomach flu everyone has been passing around. He felt really bad which makes me feel bad because he always goes to so much trouble to make my birthday special (I have always hated my birthday!) and all of his plans were ruined. But hey I got all my laundry done and we had a party at my in laws which was fun so the day wasn't a total loss. TJ made me blow out my candles when we got home so we were all getting ready for bed, nothing like a slice of cake before bed! Thanks for your thoughtfulness and thanks to everyone for the great gifts! TJ got me my kitchen aid that I have been wanting for a few years now and some new rugs for the kitchen! Love you all! And happy birthday Kathy you are the best hope you had a great day, you deserve it! We all love you so much and appreciate all you do for us and especially all the yummy dinners every Sunday! Whenever we need your help you are always there for all of us! Thank you!!
