Day 5

Driving Home: we left bright and early and said good-bye to our Villa. When we stopped to get gas in Vegas I bought some treats for the kiddies since Palm Springs wasn't much of a souvenirs place. After a fast 6 hours in the car we saw the breathtaking red rocks of home, I was excited to see these monsters.

I have the best husband in the world, he deep cleaned the whole house and started the laundry, he took great care of the kids and even had to work. One of his managers was sick so he had to go in a few hours every day, he found babysitters and even texted me pictures the whole time, it was so nice to be able to relax and know everyone was happy and taken care of! Thanks Monkey, I love you and I am so lucky to be married to someone who lets me be me :)

Mighty Mariners #1

Hunter's team was named the Mighty Mariners by all the other teams in the league, why? Because they won 15 out of 16 games, putting them in first place!! They were amazing, most teams were scared to play them! The thing that made us so proud was most of them worked hard really hard for it, previous years we were a losing team but something sparked this year for all of them, they understood the game and didn't hesitate. They worked together and had a blast. We are so proud of these boys, this league doesn't do trophies but we thought they deserved them so we bought some so they could always remember this great season!!!

Hunter, man this kid is good, he is a natural athlete. He is so fun to watch and just started pitching, he stands there for a minute to syke the batter out, then throws hard and straight, the last game it was 3 up 3 out, we are so proud!!

Little Valley Ball field

There are moments in your life you will always remember, the feeling sticks with you forever, the sounds and smells. You can close your eyes and you are there again just like it was yesterday. You can go back but it's never the same, never as good as your memory.

I hope this place will stick in my kids fond memories of their childhood, this place has been our home away from home for years, this season we were here at least 4 days a week between games and practices. We had to set up the fields and take them down every Tuesday and Thursday as part of our job being Commissioner, everyone helped even little Sophie, she would pick up the baseballs, Hunter and Brielle helped wheel the machine pitches and extension cords, and our easy Callaway stayed in his stroller happy as can be.

We had family games with our friends and family on warm Sunday nights, practiced in the freezing cold and heat, cheered each other on and gave each other support, lots of talks and life lessons, and most importantly just having fun together. The red dirt and white chalk that covered everything, the snow cones that stained our mouths and clothes, shoes that always seemed to disappear in the playground, and snacks that covered the ground in front of us.

Win or lose, it was about being a team, always trying your best, and being TOUGH LIKE BULL :)

Last game for the Cubs

Brielle's first season of Tball was awesome! We are so glad Brielle and Brynlee played together and Brock and TJ could coach them!

Helping Dad with the line up!

She is so funny to watch, if she is playing a base position she has to be on the base not by it, it makes the runners mad but I find it hilarious. She is always dancing around too.

She can hit pretty good and most the time didn't need the Tee.

Hunter and the older boys would help out, it was the sweetest thing to watch them give pep talks, high fives when they ran home, and advice since they have been playing so long lol. Hunter took the job as catcher seriously :)

Brielle also is a pro at tying her shoes now :)

Callaway 10 months

Oh my, this baby is becoming a little boy, and he knows he is so big :)

He has such a fun personality and loves playing with his siblings, his favorite is playing catch.

Always clapping, its the cutest thing! I think he is just use to cheering for his family on at the ball field!

Pulls himself up to stand and does it on anything and everything, he is so strong! I have a feeling when he grows up he is going to need constant cheering for everything he does, the kids cheer and clap every time he masters a new skill like its the coolest thing they have ever seen :)

We start them early around here, he helps with the chores too :)

Love loves LOVES the water, he hears the shower and has to get in clothes and all! He can't get enough of it at the waterpark, good thing since it is HOT!

He has the flatest feet ever :) thanks for that trait Grandpa's on both sides :p
