Hunter the big #10

10!!!

I Cannot be old enough to have a 10 year old! I know, I know, time flies.... but SERIOUSLY!! Slow down!! Time doesn't seem to fly by when you have a non stop nursing baby, or when the terrible twos tantrums last all day... potty training... oh the list is endless of times that time seems to stand still. But in the grand scheme of things it flies right by on the good parts... or so its seems

This kid, I love him. Seriously love him. Everyone should have a kids like this in their family. He is stubborn, and OCD about certain things, drives me nuts! But.... he has the kindest heart, he really truely cares about people and is so thoughtful. He appreciates all the little things I do in our family. He will notice the color scheme at his birthday party or how I always go all out for holidays because life is sometimes hard but we should find fun things to make to worthwhile. He has never gone a day without telling me he loves me or I look pretty. He notices my new earrings, or if I emptied the dishwasher lol

He is an athlete, this kid can do anything, the older he gets the closer it gets to chosing and it breaks his heart. He gets choked up when we talk about choosing 1 or 2 to play. He wants to do it all and if time allowed it he could! He loves football and soccer the best.

He is a great student. He forgets to do things sometimes because he is so focused on doing whatever he is doing at the moment. He hates when he isn't perfect at something and will often give up, its a scary quality to me and I find myself focusing on how to make him realize you can't just give up when things are hard. I pray that he will always try harder, I would hate to have him end up living in my basement when hes 40 (I always tell him this) He excels in Math and Reading he is currently at a 6th grade level in reading

He is a practical joker, he gets a kick out of scaring people and telling jokes. Luckily his teacher that the fake spider on her desk that jumped out at her was funny and the whoopy cushion during a math lesson... oh man a time and a place Hunter!!!

He is an artist, he amazes me at the things he can draw. Sports cars and spooky scenes are still his specialty lol

He is a pesky older brother, he loves to push his sisters buttons and can do it in a second flat. They're always fighting drives me nuts! He pushes they push and they all end up in trouble. But when they play outside they're best friends.

His best friend moved almost 2 years ago and they still call each other every now and then. His friends birthday is a few days after him, he called and then that night asked me to mail something. Of course I looked :)

He had gave his own birthday money to his friend so he could buy an iPod. I guess he was only a few bucks shy and without me or anyone telling him to decided to send him the remainder so he could buy it. I was so proud and touched that after 2 years which is a long time for a little kid he still loved and cared about his best friend. Hunter doesn't spend money he saves and saves so that was really a big move for him to give it.
