Bentley's 9th Annual Halloween Bash!

Every year its great to see everyone get so excited!! We have decided to do it early again this year, its so hard the older the kids get and more things to do, its just easier and more enjoyable to do it early when there isn't a ton going on!

We did wizard of oz this year and we dug through our many bins of costumes and found most everything! I spend a whole $30 this year on our costumes :)

We had over 200 people and I am way too lazy to post all the pics lol

This is the first year it forecasted rain! I was freaking out, I knew all the people couldn't fit in the house and the whole point in having it here is our decorations! Luckily Curt dropped everything and he and TJ build an awning out of pipe and tarps, luckily all my praying worked not a drop until everyone left!

Hunting

TJ got himself a beauty first day out (wooo hoo for me)
And I know he loves me because even though I had a fridge full of bloody deer meat in my outside fridge for 3 days he took it to his Moms house to cut up so I didn't have to have that smell in my house and all over my counters while he cut it up to freeze :)

He is learning :)

Then he went Pheasant hunting with his brothers and Dad, they were tasty!

Random OCt

I find it hilarious when I have to erase 100 pictures off my phone and when a cute new outfit is worn it means a photo-shoot before school :)

Need one more $1 to buy something special? How about a lemonade stand? One car later and done!

Saturdays the whole neighborhood is at our house and Hunter whips up some mac n cheese for everyone and of course it has to been in Halloween bowls n cups :)

Love naps or being so worn out you fall asleep anywhere

Sophie and Callaway are both tornado's and need to be kept busy
I decorated a wall in the kitchen and Sophie thought it needed something extra, only thing is she glued it on the wall!

Love notes from Lia and stay out pictures, fitting :)

Enjoying the finer things in life

Free Lunch

After Hunter's football game he told asked if we could go to Boulvard Home Furnishings to get free hot dogs lol

So we let TJ take a nap before work and the kids and I went to lunch! Nothing beats a free lunch and fun times with my monsters :)

Movies

We had some movie tickets we need to use so we went and saw Hotel Transylvania it was so cute, definitely will buy it for next year :)

The kids all loved it and were so good! Love that are getting older and we can go to the movies, only bad part it cost a small fortune for us all to go so its defiantly a treat that only happens a few times lol

Snacks

Tj loves his snacks, he goes through spurts of what his favorites are and even in the middle of the night I will hear wrappers being opened, lucky for him he has a great metabolism, I swear I don't eat his crap but just looking at it makes me gain 10lbs lol

Love him :)

Traditions

Sunday Specials

We had a fun family night swimming, eating, making carmel apples and Grandma ended the night reading a fun Halloween book that we each got to take home! Such special memories and traditions

Decorating on Oct 1st, always an exciting time for the Bentley Bunch, but it does wear some of us out :)

One of my favorites is watching Hocus Pocus and a few other Halloween movies together :) and of course giving my favorite Spooks treats :)

family movies and special treats all month long!

lunch dates

Sophie told Grandpa Ken she never gets to go anywhere with him so he came and got her for lunch :)

Callaway knew what was going on and didn't want Grandpa going anywhere without him, we finally had to play hid n seek and Grandpa snuck out the door

So thankful my kids have such great grandparents who make them feel special and loved!

Once a week I stop by and check on Grandpa Bentley, love him so much! Callaway and I had an hour before picking up Sophie from school and I didn't want to wander around Target and buy crap so we took Grandpa lunch and did a few hunney do's for him :)

Big boy bed

Just after Callaway's first birthday I took the binkies away, he did really well, the only thing is he dropped his naps :( but most my kids did around 2 yrs.

2 months after Callaway turned 2 he started climbing out of his crib! None of the other kids did this, they stayed in until a few months before the next kid was born lol

The crib had started to fall apart and I knew with our concrete floors it was time for him to sleep in his big boy bed :( But Callaway refused to sleep in his crib and said " "big" every time I put him in

He slept great in his big bed, the 3rd night he figured out he could get out but after taking him back a few times he knew I meant business that it was time for bed!

I cried, I mean bawled my eyes out taking the crib down for the last 10 years it has never been put away... just gone to the next.

I dont' want anymore our family is complete but I just miss my babies being well... babies!

Each stage is so much fun and it gets not really easier but more manageable the older they get but man time is going by way too quickly!

Love you Callaway, so proud of you, you big boy! Now if you would only be interested in something like, potty training :) not buying diapers anymore would be lovely lol

memorial weekend

TJ and I both had to work a lot during Memorial Day Weekend luckily my family was in town to have fun with the kid's!
