Singin in the rain

Last week we had a big warm rainstorm start out of nowhere, we eating snacks since we had just came home from the warkpark. The girls ran out and sang in the rain and Sophie of course had to bring her snack with her and it ended up all over her face.



Brielle helped me make some freezer jam, she loves to stir and of course taste-test! We made 6 batches because a few days earlier as I was scraping out the last little bit from our last jar for Hunters lunch, he told me my homemade jam made the best pbj's ever! So of course we had too make enough to last awhile since I make his lunch for school everyday.

Happy Birthday Mom!

Today my Mom is 49, I know what you are all thinking I actually put her age out there! Yes, she will kill me but she knows she doesn't look that old! lol! Okay its not old! I am so proud of her and love her so much! She is always making life interesting and loves her family so much. She works so hard and finds time to have some fun with us! We appreciate her "frills" and all her love and support. Thanks for being you Mom, there is no one else like you! Enjoy your day, grab a huge Diet Coke, and we will celebrate next weekend! You're our top ten grandma! :)

Tiny Dancer

Brielle was so excited to start dance again, she had on her tights and leotard on an hour before we had to leave. She has the same teacher Mrs, Kristin our favorite. She remembered everything she learned last year and is excited for a fun year!

Two down... One to go!!! :)

Today was Brielle's first day of Preschool! This is her second and final year before Kindergarten! We started the morning off with her favorite chocolate chip pancakes and our friends Rachael and Max spent the night so they joined us in the first day of school festivities (love you guys hope you had a fun quick trip!) Brielle was a tad reluctant to go but I think it was because she didn't want the Cagle's to leave! :) Once we pulled up to the doors she was so close to the door to get out I had to tell her to back up so when they opened the door she wouldn't fall out! We are so proud of you Brielle and we are so glad you love to go to school!




Sophie is the only one left now, well three days a week for three hours a day anyway! How is she adjusting? Just fine! I thought she would have a hard time since she is never without her brother or sister but she doesn't seem to mind! She waves and blows kiss and says "BYE!" and then is excited to play with all their toys! The pictures of her are on our neighbors bike, she loved being carted around.





Hunter rides his bike to school with a group of friends, I was talking to him about safety and such and he asked if he had to wear his helmet, I told him of course he did and he got this look on his face, I told him I could drive him instead and he said he wanted to ride his bike but the helmet would ruin his hair! I laughed and told him if it did I would get a brush and hairspray for his backpack so he could fix it! Silly boy! The hair was fine but the sweat and red face looked handsome when he came home! :)

Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad

Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad! They are celebrating 28 years!!! Since my parents live at Harmons when they come down to visit, it is only fitting they have their anniversary dinner there! The kids and I went early and decorated the table and really surprised my Dad. TJ brought their favorite spaghetti and salad and they dined in style. While setting up tons of older folk were saying how sweet this was and went on and on it was pretty funny. My parents got in trouble by the manager thinking there was alcohol in the wine glass... nope just diet coke! :) Hope you had a romantic dinner we love you so much thank you for being such a good example to us young married kids!

First Day of First Grade!

Hunter is off to his first day of first grade!!! We met his teacher last night at back to school night her name is Mrs Slack, this is her first year teaching and she seems like such a great warm person, we are excited! We were walking down the halls and Hunter would see kids he knew and give them high fives and pounds saying "What's up (name)!" and all sorts of cool words the kids use these days lol! TJ and I just looked at each other and laughed at our little social bug. A girl he liked last year is in his class again, we saw her and said Hunter there is your girlfriend! His face got bright red and he smiled and walked faster. He was so cute last night he got ready for bed so fast and said I need my sleep tomorrow is a big day. I couldn't sleep I was so nervous and I woke up early (so not like me I enjoy my sleep!) made his lunch and included an I love you note, and made breakfast. I drove him to school and took a picture at the school sign and started crying. Hunter hugged me and said "Mom be tough like bull not weak like sheep!" I just laughed I am the one that is suppose to be calming his nerves! I took him to his classroom and took a picture of him and his teacher and he immediately sat down and started his work. Not even a single tear or look back! I gave him a hug and told him to be tough like bull and left. I managed to make it to the car before breaking down. This growing up stuff stinks! I love you so much Hunter thank you for being such a great kid!

TJ + Jessica = 5 years of mostly wedded bliss :)

It's hard to imagine that 5 years has gone by in a such a flash. I can hardly imagine what life was like before we got married, it's crazy!! So much has happened since our beautiful wedding day, our favorite moments being the births of our children. :) We've been through thick and thin together, we have so much fun together, and I'm so grateful to have our family. We know each other's strengths and weaknesses (and still love each other in spite of them!), sometimes we can communicate just with a look and we often can finish each other's sentences. I know I am a better person because of my amazing husband, and I treasure the memories we have made and look toward the future with joy.





Here we are a little older, a little more wrinkly, a little more padding, hopefully a little wiser, and more in love than ever. :) Happy anniversary, TJ!! I love you! I'm so thankful you are mine. :)

We took the kids overnight to Mesquite for a quick getaway and had fun eating, bowling, eating, playing games, eating, swimming and did I mention eating!?!

Skimboarding....... kinda :)

The kids had a blast trying out the skimboard TJ found awhile ago and so did we, wow what a work out! The water is perfect and not very deep which was great for little Sophie, she had a so much fun exploring and splashing. It was a great lazy Sunday playing in the water, taking a nap, and spending time together.
